Whereas, it is the express purpose of God, our Heavenly Father, to call out of the world a people who shall continue the Body, the Church of Jesus Christ, built and established upon the foundation of the Apostles and whereas, the members of the Body, the Church, are enjoined to assemble themselves together for worship, and for the exercise of those spiritual gifts and offices provided for in the New Testament; and whereas, according to God’s Word, the early Christians came together in such fellowship as a representative Body of blood-washed and Spirit-filled believers, who cooperated with, and sent out, evangelists, and missionaries and, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, set over the churches, pastors, teachers, deacons, and helpers: therefore, be it resolved, that we recognize ourselves as a cooperative Fellowship of Christians, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, till we all come in the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:3-13

Why do we pray and sing in tongues?
“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” 1 Corinthians 14:14-15

Why do we stand when we sing?
“And the Levites of the children of the Kohathites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.” 2 Chronicles 20:19 |
| |
Why do we clap, shout, and dance?
“Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals.” Psalm 150:3-5 |
| |
Why do we lift our hands?
“Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” Psalm 134:2 |
| |
|
Why do we pray so strong corporately?
“What we bind on earth in bound in heaven, and what we loose on earth is loosed in heaven…if two or more agree about anything it will be done…” Matthew 18:18-19
“…The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16
